At this year’s GITEX Georgy Ovanesyan, our visionary CEO, gave an interview to the local news provider AIT News. Can you provide an introduction to Axidian and the core services or products you offer?
Axidian is a global IT vendor that specializes in identity security. We provide comprehensive identity security solutions. The company operates from the UAE and is part of the local IT security community. We also have branches in Europe and Singapore and operate globally. We have a large network of partners – more than 150 partners across 45 countries worldwide.
What motivated Axidian to participate in GITEX Global 2024, and what are you showcasing at the event?
UAE is a global hub of technology, innovation and business collaboration. This is why we choose UEA as our headquarter.
GITEX Global is one of the largest tech events in the world. We’ve participated in GITEX almost every year for the past several years. This year is special for us because we chose GITEX as the first event to introduce our flagship product for 2025 — Axidian Shield. It’s an Identity Threats Detection and Response (ITDR) solution.
The key advantages of Axidian Shield (ITDR): it detects and reacts to all credential-related attacks, provides adaptive MFA, protects where traditional MFA doesn’t. It expands multi-factor authentication beyond traditional ‘client-based’ methods to a much broader level. It doesn’t require manual works and operates absolutely unseen for users, without business processes disruption. And finally, Axidian Shield helps to build Zero Trust concept with minimum changes to existing infrastructure.
How does Axidian aim to influence or transform your industry through your offerings?
All that we are doing is based on industry trends and client requirements. We carefully monitor all global and regional trends. We are in constant contact with the customers following on the challenges they face. Everything that we are doing is a response to what they need.
We are not only focusing on the product or the technology. We are also providing the training, consulting, implementation and support. What we observe in the region and industry, and what we would like to change, is the situation where having the top product is not enough. You also need to create the infrastructure for it, implement it, and support it.
What emerging trends do you see in your industry, and how is Axidian adapting to stay ahead?
Global trends and the situation in the region indicate that cyberattacks are becoming cheaper, easier, and more profitable. This happens because you no longer need high-level expertise to carry out an attack. With new approaches and tools like mimic ads, BloodHound, and even AI, executing an attack has become much easier. Most of the successful attacks now target authentication data, and over half of organizations have experienced attacks caused by authenticated users or unprotected systems.
According to 2024 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report, 2 out of 3 breaches involve human element. Traditional security measures are proving insufficient in addressing these evolving threats.
At Axidian, we are acutely aware of these challenges, and we are addressing them by focusing on our new product, promoting it, and providing training and consulting for its implementation. By doing this, we’re helping our customers overcome these challenges by offering better protection.
In what ways do your products/services enhance value for your customers or address their key challenges?
We’ve realized that it’s no longer enough to have a great product from a technological standpoint. It must be properly implemented and supported. Even the best and most expensive products can go unnoticed if customers don’t know how to implement or maintain them.
That’s why we focus not only on the product but also on providing the right support through Axidian Academy. Axidian Academy is dedicated to implementation, consulting, training, and ongoing support. We help users, customers, security professionals, and even students stay informed about current trends, how to handle them, how to use our products, and ensure they stay one step ahead of emerging threats and challenges.
What are Axidian’s strategic goals for the next few years following your participation in GITEX Global 2024?
Our strategic focus in the coming years is to solidify our position as a full-stack Identity Security provider. Next year we are launching Identity Management (IDM) solution, further enhancing our comprehensive approach to identity security.
In addition to product development, we are committed to sharing our expertise in identity security through Axidian Academy. Here at GITEX, we’re bringing together students from local universities at the Axidian stand, where we aim to provide them with training, lectures, and hands-on seminars using our products.
Next year, we plan to expand Axidian Academy even further. This is just one of the many steps we’re taking to support people, raise the level of cybersecurity education, and increase awareness of the importance of securing identities, both in the region and globally.
What key message or takeaway would you like the audience to remember about Axidian after GITEX Global 2024?
Remember, it’s not just the product that matters — full-service support, training, and consulting are equally important.
