See what’s new in Axidian CertiFlow version 7.1.

Centralized Certificate Management

Version 7.1 offers a convenient tool for comprehensive control over user certificates. Using search filters, you can:

  • Find all certificates issued by a specific certification authority;
  • Export a list of certificates nearing expiration;
  • Filter certificates based on user association or linkage to USB tokens and smart cards.

Document Search

Axidian CertiFlow now helps administrators efficiently manage documents and monitor their status using a flexible filtering system.

In the new section, you can verify the availability of original documents and track unsigned documents. These features significantly simplify document flow control and help avoid risks associated with missing critical files.

New Client Agent Features

Managing USB tokens and smart cards is now even easier. What’s new with the agent:

  • Users no longer need to contact an administrator to receive a ready-to-use token or smart card. Adding, assigning, and issuing tokens and smart cards can be done not only through the admin console or user portal but also via the client agent.
  • Administrators can now initiate a PIN code change for a group of USB tokens and smart cards with a single task instead of configuring each one manually. This allows for a rapid response to incidents and minimizes the risks of data leaks and unauthorized access.
  • New settings allow administrators to set a time period during which a user’s PIN code remains valid. There’s no need to manually monitor PIN expiration or notify users — when the user connects the token or card to a workstation, the client agent automatically initiates the PIN change process.
  • If an unregistered USB token or smart card is connected to a workstation, both the user and administrator receive an instant alert about the security policy violation.
  • Version filter has been added to the agent repository. This allows administrators to identify outdated agents and update them to access the full functionality. The filter also helps list inactive agents whose versions are not displayed.

Linux OS Support

Axidian CertiFlow now operates in a Linux environment:

  • Server components can be installed on popular Linux distributions: Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS Stream.
  • SafeNet eToken can be managed on Linux using the Middleware client component.
  • The admin console, user portal, and API services support login via the OpenID Connect authentication protocol.
  • FreeIPA can be used as the user directory.
  • Event tracking on Linux is possible via the Log Server application.

Internal User Directory

We’ve implemented the ability to configure an additional user directory in a Microsoft SQL or PostgreSQL database. This allows administrators to create users directly in the admin console.
This approach enables secure collaboration with external participants while maintaining the existing user structure.

Flexible PIN Code Settings

The PIN code generation system has been enhanced. You can now configure character groups to generate highly secure, random PIN codes that are resistant to malicious attacks.

Additional Notification Settings

To prevent operational disruptions, Axidian CertiFlow will now notify administrators about imminent license expiration and shortage of available licenses

The mail server can now be configured centrally, which is convenient when all policies use the same server for sending notifications.

We’ve also simplified the notification template configuration. Variables have been redesigned so that their values are automatically inserted into the message content.

Updated interface of the Admin Console

Version 7.1 introduces a redesigned admin console interface:

  • An adaptive sidebar helps users quickly navigate to the desired sections, speeding up routine tasks.
  • The new visual style offers a more intuitive and comfortable experience.

New API Features

  • Now you can retrieve all information about a specific USB token or smart card by its ID. Previously, this data had to be located in a general list; now, it can be accessed via a dedicated request.
  • Tokens and smart cards of deleted users are withdrawn automatically to free up licenses for reuse.
  • The set of filters for search of tokens and smart cards has been expanded. You can now filter by issuance date, update date, revocation date, model, and current policy. Returned values now also include a parameter for exporting the certificate activation date of the token or card.

Other Enhancements

Axidian CertiFlow 7.1 also includes the following improvements:

  • Automatic withdrawal of USB tokens and smart cards from deleted users. The Card Monitor service tracks deleted accounts in order to release licenses.
  • Enhanced role-based functionality for administrators. If a local administrator lacks privileges to manage a specific policy, they cannot view its related information or perform actions on affected objects.
  • Monitoring of service certificates. The admin console now provides tracking of agent service certificate validity and shows details about CA certificates tied to specific policies.
