On February 12, 2026, Axidian participated in the DSCI Data Protection Summit (DDPS) 2026, one of India’s focused industry events dedicated to data protection and regulatory implementation under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA).
At the summit, Kirill Bondarenko, Regional Director, represented Axidian on-site, and we were together with our regional partner BD Software, whose team was present and actively engaged throughout the day.
A focused data protection forum under DSCI
The summit was organized under the DSCI (Data Security Council of India) — a leading industry body that plays a significant role in shaping India’s cybersecurity and data protection ecosystem. DSCI is known for hosting some of the country’s most established cybersecurity forums, including large-scale annual events in New Delhi.
DDPS 2026 was a compact, one-day summit structured around keynote sessions, panel discussions, and a dedicated exhibition area for sponsors and technology vendors.
The audience was relevant and well-prepared, representing a mix of industries, including:
- BFSI and fintech
- Insurance
- IT and technology companies
- Manufacturing
- System integrators and service providers
While financial services were strongly represented, the summit maintained a cross-industry focus, reflecting the broad impact of India’s evolving data protection framework.
Implementation challenges under India’s data protection law
DDPS 2026 centered around practical implementation questions related to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. The agenda covered key areas such as:
- Data Fiduciary obligations and accountability frameworks
- Consent management architecture
- Cross-border data transfer mechanisms
- Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
- Technical and organizational safeguards
- Breach notification and grievance redressal processes
The tone of the event was implementation-oriented rather than theoretical. Discussions emphasized operational readiness, governance models, and the technical controls required to translate regulatory language into enforceable systems.
Data protection as an operational priority
DDPS 2026 demonstrated that data protection in India has moved firmly into the operational domain.
Organizations are no longer asking whether they need governance structures. They are asking how to build:
- Scalable consent management systems
- Documented accountability frameworks
- Cross-border data transfer controls
- Practical DPIA processes
- Incident response mechanisms aligned with legal timelines
The summit’s structure — combining regulatory context with technical deep dives — reflected this shift.
Aligning access control with data protection accountability
Axidian’s participation alongside BD Software focused on practical access governance — particularly in environments where regulatory accountability and infrastructure complexity intersect.
Solutions such as Axidian Privilege (PAM) and Axidian Access (IAM) are designed for organizations that require structured control over privileged accounts, centralized authentication mechanisms, and clear auditability of access activities. These capabilities directly support data protection objectives, including technical safeguards, accountability, and risk mitigation.
Events like DDPS 2026 provide an important platform to engage with India’s cybersecurity and privacy community and to better understand how regulatory evolution shapes technical priorities.
As India continues to operationalize its data protection framework, the alignment between governance, architecture, and access control remains central and that alignment is where Axidian continues to contribute.
Axidian focuses on practical solutions in this area — from privileged access management with Axidian Privilege (PAM) to centralized authentication and multi-factor access control with Axidian Access (IAM). These capabilities support technical and organizational safeguards, helping companies translate regulatory obligations into operational controls.
