Cybersecurity in Saudi Arabia is becoming more complex as digital transformation accelerates across the region. Organizations are expanding digital services, integrating new systems, and working with a growing number of partners and vendors. This creates new challenges around access control, identity management, and visibility across environments.

In this context, Axidian has partnered with Sariya Information Technology Company, one of the leading providers of value-added digital solutions in Saudi Arabia. Founded in 2002 as part of Al Kuhaimi Group, Sariya has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality IT services and supporting organizations across the region with practical, business-focused solutions.

To better understand how security priorities are evolving in the Kingdom, we spoke with Mr. Johnny Hayek, General Manager at Sariya Information Technology Company.

In this interview, we discuss what security topics customers raise most often today, how digital transformation is reshaping security priorities in Saudi Arabia, and how our partnership is expected to develop in the region.

Can you briefly introduce Sariya and what role you play in the region’s technology market

Sariya is a value-added technology distributor focused on Cybersecurity & IT infrastructure solutions across the region. We work closely with global vendors, such as Axidian, to bring innovative and reliable technologies to our partners and customers.

Our role in the market is to bridge vendors with the channel ecosystem by enabling partners with the right solutions, technical expertise, and go-to-market support. We focus on driving growth through strong partnerships, expanding market reach, and ensuring that our customers have access to high-quality, scalable technology solutions.

What security topics do your partners and customers ask about most often today

Our partners and customers are increasingly focused on identity and access management, especially around securing user access and preventing unauthorized activity. There is also strong interest in privileged access management (PAM), as organizations look to control and monitor critical accounts.

In addition, we see growing demand around ransomware protection, threat detection, and incident response, as well as compliance and data protection requirements. Overall, the focus today is on building a more proactive and resilient cybersecurity posture rather than just reacting to threats.

How is digital transformation in Saudi Arabia changing security priorities for companies?

Digital transformation in Saudi Arabia, driven by Vision 2030, is shifting security from a technical function to a business-critical priority. As companies adopt cloud, AI, and digital platforms, the attack surface is expanding, increasing the need for stronger protection.

The focus today is on identity-based security, regulatory compliance, data protection, and proactive threat detection, ensuring organizations can operate securely in a more connected and digital ecosystem.

Which industries in the region are currently most focused on improving cybersecurity

Primarily, government sectors lead the priority due to their critical role and high exposure to targeted attacks. This is followed by financial services, where protecting transactions and customer data is essential.

We also see significant focus from energy and oil & gas, as part of critical infrastructure, along with telecommunications, which form the backbone of digital connectivity.

In addition, sectors like healthcare, education, and manufacturing are increasingly investing in cybersecurity as they accelerate digital transformation and handle more sensitive data.

Overall, any industry undergoing rapid digitalization is now prioritizing cybersecurity as a core requirement rather than an option.

How do you see your partnership with Axidian evolving in the region

We see our partnership with Axidian evolving into a strategic, long-term collaboration focused on expanding their footprint across the region.

Our priority is to build a strong partner ecosystem, increase market awareness, and position Axidian’s solutions, especially in identity and privileged access management as key components of modern cybersecurity strategies.

Moving forward, we aim to drive joint go-to-market initiatives, partner enablement, and large enterprise opportunities, ensuring sustainable growth for both organizations.

What Saudi organizations expect from security today

Organizations in Saudi Arabia are now asking how to manage access, identities, and risks in a more structured and scalable way.

This is exactly where strong partnerships matter. By combining Sariya’s deep understanding of the local market with Axidian’s expertise in access management and privileged account control, we can better support organizations as their environments grow more complex.

We are glad to partner with Sariya and look forward to developing this collaboration further — contributing together to the evolution of the cybersecurity market in Saudi Arabia and helping organizations build more controlled and transparent access environments.
