Release Notes Axidian Access 8.2.6: Streamlined OTP and Flexible Authentication Options

Axidian introduces version 8.2.6 of Axidian Access

With this release, you can now send OTPs by using a custom script through the Messages Proxy web application. This allows you to integrate with any corporate system for delivering one-time passwords.

The updated version includes the new feature that enables you to manually specify a link to register Indeed Key and Secured TOTP, as well as to download the Indeed Key application (iOS and Android). Now you can redirect users to the specified server.

Also, with Axidian Access 8.2.6, you can configure the credentials verification method for the Windows Password provider. This allows you to implement the integration in different scenarios.

For Radius Extension, we’ve introduced a new authentication method. With this method, you can enter multiple authentication factors in a single field.

Sending OTP via Messages Proxy

This new feature extends the OTP sending capabilities by allowing you to use a custom script and the Messages Proxy web application.

Messages Proxy provides a web API for sending one-time passwords by running any executable file or script.

Configuration of Indeed Key and Secured TOTP registration link

It is now possible to change the registration link (deeplink) for Indeed Key and Secured TOTP, as well as the link to download the Indeed Key application.

This feature allows you to select the server address that you are redirected to when downloading and registering the application and the authenticator.

Credentials verification for Windows Password

The Windows Password provider now includes the new setting that determines which method of user credentials verification is primarily used:

  • LogonUser – for the Windows operating system within a single domain.
  • LDAP Bind – for servers outside the domain, including Linux.

New authentication methods for Radius Extension

When multifactor authentication is not available or is required to comply with the PCI DSS standards, it is now possible to use One-string authenticator. The new method allows you to enter authentication factors in the input field in one line.

Also, Axidian Access 8.2.6 adds support for the Passcode + SMS authentication method for Radius Extension.

Updated Indeed Key registration process

The registration of the Indeed Key authenticator is updated for registrations through a link in an email. This update allows administrators and users to synchronize their actions when registering the authenticator.

Support for Secured TOTP in RDP Windows Logon

The support for the Secured TOTP provider is added in RDP Windows Logon. With Secured TOTP, you can register an authenticator per device only.

Updated license start/expiration date format

To make it easier for administrators to monitor the expiration date of temporary licenses, the license start and expiration date format now includes the exact time in UTC.

Other updates

Axidian Access 8.2.6 also includes the following changes and improvements:

  • Expanded capabilities for application interaction via the OpenID Connect protocol.
  • Optimized installation of MSI packages on machines without internet access.
