In a fast-moving and increasingly regulated market like India, the cybersecurity landscape is evolving fast and so are the expectations of enterprise clients.
To understand what’s driving the Indian market, we sat down with Keshav Choudhary, Director at RP tech India, to talk about the challenges their customers are facing right now — from AI-powered attacks and rising compliance demands to the need for smarter access control strategies.
We discussed the growing complexity of cyber threats, what Indian regulators now expect from businesses, and why RP tech chose to partner with Axidian to close the identity security gap.
Here’s what came out of that conversation

What are the biggest tech or cybersecurity problems your customers are dealing with right now, and how does RP Tech help fix them?
Today, our customers in India are facing two major challenges: increasing complexity of cyber threats and the lack of specialized identity security frameworks. Many organizations are scaling up their digital operations, but their security strategies often lag behind, especially when it comes to protecting user identities and access points.
At RP tech, we address these issues by not just distributing technology, but by providing value-added services — pre-sales consulting, solution design, technical support, and ongoing service management.
We work closely with our partners to deliver integrated cybersecurity and identity security solutions that match their specific needs. By combining a broad technology portfolio with expert support across 724 locations in India, we help businesses secure their digital operations more effectively and sustainably.
How is India’s new compliances changing the way businesses think about cybersecurity?
India’s regulators are tightening cybersecurity rules, and that’s forcing businesses to rethink how they feel about cybersecurity and identity security in particular. RBI now mandates strict access controls and regular reviews of privileged accounts under Direction DNBR. SEBI’s 2023 circular requires multi-factor authentication and strong identity governance. IRDAI’s latest guidelines push for zero-trust architecture and full identity lifecycle management.

Staying ahead of evolving compliance demands means giving our partners access to solutions that are ready to deploy and built for today’s regulatory landscape. That’s exactly why our partnership with Axidian is so timely. It brings powerful, compliance-ready tools for MFA, PAM, and IAM that align directly with what Indian regulators now require.
What new types of cyber threats are emerging in India with the rise of AI, and how should businesses respond when it comes to managing user access?
AI is making cyberattacks smarter and faster. In India, we’re seeing more cases where fake voices or faces are used to trick people, or systems get hit with automated attacks trying thousands of passwords in seconds. These aren’t future threats, they’re already here.
That’s why companies are starting to pay more attention to who has access to what, and how that access is controlled. It’s no longer enough to just set a password and forget it . Businesses need better ways to manage user access, especially for critical systems. AI is changing the game, and the security around people’s digital identities has to catch up.
Why did RP Tech decide to partner with Axidian, and how does it support your goals?
We partnered with Axidian because identity security is becoming a critical gap for many Indian businesses and we needed a solution that’s focused, effective, and aligned with the challenges our customers face. Axidian delivers exactly that, with strong capabilities in access control, MFA, and privileged access management.

This partnership supports our goal to go beyond traditional distribution and offer real problem-solving value to our channel. Together, we’re addressing issues like access sprawl, compliance pressure, and outdated authentication practices, helping businesses build stronger, more secure IT environments.
